Shubhankar Mazumdar

Shubhankar holds an honors degree of graduation in physics and a PG diploma in Retail Management from Symbiosis Pune. Having experience of working with reputed multinationals his heart was always there in the media industry. A successful professional he never shied away from taking professional risks. A self-proclaimed film & media enthusiast he has finally realized his long-cherished dream and opened his media business. A proud Bengali he can talk without talking a break on Bengali history. Creative Director

Sudarshana Chakraborty

Sudarshana carries only one professional identity which she is never ready to let go of, that is of a journalist. She is a working journalist for nearly 18 years having experience working in audio-visual, print, and digital media. Primarily working in Bengali she writes for leading regional and national newspapers and news portals. Gender rights, Human rights, disability rights socio-economic development stories are some of her areas of works. Sudarshana holds a Masters' degree in English and a PG diploma in Mass Communication. She is a documentary filmmaker and wants to describe this as an extension of her practicing journalism.   Words, images, audio, visuals are the components that keep this woman alive. She will take you up for a journey made of stories that are realities.

Technical Head

Abhishek Sinha

The technical head of Kathaque, Abhishek, holds a degree in Commerce from St. Xavier College, Kolkata. With his passion for photography, he turned into a full-time professional photographer and DOP in independent projects and runs his studio.  The career graph may perplex one but Abhishek's reputation has already been established as an out-and-out professional who can be trusted with the best results.

Sound Designer

Debayan Banerjee

A true blue musician Debayan started playing Tabla as a kid under his father's guidance and received the CCRT junior scholarship at the age of 14. While pursuing studies and later completing masters in Comparative literature he never left the path of music and lyrics. This young independent musician who runs his youtube channel has created quite a buzz in the contemporary independent Bengali music scenario. He is a trained vocalist presently working as a composer, arranger. The theme music and ambiances are created uniquely by this young musical talent.

Graphic Designer

Soumasish Datta

Soumasish is a man of few words. An introvert by nature his brilliant graphic designs speak for this young talent. A BCA graduate, he is presently pursuing his passion for graphic designing and animation. He is working on various projects as a graphic designer and animator. Kathaque is looking this smart and beautiful all credit to this almost silent designer.

Nandini Mazumder

A graduate in Media Science with a specialization in Films, this woman is quirk personified. Nandini who can engage you in a never-ending conversation views the world with utmost intensity. A passionate photographer, her interest lies in the world of words. Nandini will present her segment/s to engage you in a quirky, memorable experience of conversation.

Subhadip Maitro

Friends often call him Satyajit Ray's famous 'Sidhu Jyatha' or sometimes 'Google' because of this contemporary Bengali author's immense in-depth knowledge about almost everything under the sun. Books, music, and films are his love of life. A voracious reader Subhadip started his career as a journalist after completing his bachelor's degree in English literature and Masters' degree in Journalism. He worked in leading media houses in Kolkata with a successful career graph. But his love for literature made him leave the rat race of media and he became a full-time author. Besides having his published books of poetry, collection of short stories, and the novel he translates and writes for various Bengali and national publications. Subhadip is known for his unique sense of wit and ruthless humor. His segment/s will bring a smirk on your face and keep bugging you, in a very Bengali style, that's a promise.

Hailing from Tripura and presently living in Kolkata, Sourab graduated with honors in Bengali and did his post-graduation in Dramatics. A theatre practitioner, the freelance actor loves to introduce himself as primarily a writer.
